Players running Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 face a noticeable response delay that is worse than on other platforms, according to IGN. The outlet reports that a Digital Foundry performance analysis of the Switch 2 build found input latency can reach about twice the level measured on PS5 when the game runs at 60 frames per second.
The finding matters most in multiplayer, where split-second reactions decide engagements. IGN frames the gap as an uneven playing field for Switch 2 owners competing against players on other hardware.
The release carries extra weight because, per IGN, Modern Warfare 4 is the first Call of Duty title to arrive on Nintendo hardware since Ghosts in 2013. That long absence makes the Switch 2 version a notable test of how the series performs on Nintendo's current console.
